COCS is an officially registered, not-for-profit 501 (C) 3 tax exempt organization in New York operated by Chinese professionals from diverse backgrounds. COCS aims to unite overseas Chinese people across professions and social status, to enhance the collective power in advancing the following goals: 1) Promote critical thinking of social and legal issues concerning China and overseas Chinese communities; 2) Improve the quality of life of Chinese Americans by reinforcing social skills and access to social resources; 3) Enhance the world's understanding of Chinese art and culture. With our efforts, we will inspire more people to join our cause so that all may benefit. 
 

海外华人理事会（下称“COCS”）是纽约的一家已向官方登记注册并基于501（C）3条款取得了免税号的非营利性组织；其组成人员是具有不同背景的华人专业人士。COCS旨在联合不同专业、不同社会地位的海外华人，发挥集体的力量，以达到下述三个目标：1、促进各界对中国及海外华人社区的社会和法律问题的批判性思考；2、通过增强美籍华人的社会技能、向他们提供社会资源的方式，提高他们的生活质量；3、促进世界对中国艺术和文化的了解。我们将不断努力，激励更多的人加入到我们的事业中来，让我们大家都从中受益。
